Once again, I was enticed by the "Blood" moon eclipse, and again I ask, is my blood just a different color than everyone else? I did not see anything resembling blood red, even though I set the alarm and got up at 2 am.
I saw the same brownish tan moon I saw the last time there was a "blood" moon.
It was not the red I was promised in many animated images.
NASA, at least, was honest.
Call it an amber moon, or a reddish-brown moon. It's not blood. I mean, we have to standardize this. Is there a Pantone shade called "Blood"?
[Moments later] Oh good lord, there is.
Top left. See? That's what I was expecting.
All I can say is that a red onion isn't red either. So many things are misnamed.
This is one celestial event that I slept through. Woke up around 3:45 AM for unrelated reasons.

CHM - Fair! Then again, there is a club called "The Purple Onion" famous for the Smothers Brothers record. "And which came first?" Tommy Smothers would say, and then giggle.(Can you tell I just went down a Smothers Brothers rabbit hole?)
