Actress Teri Garr has died of MS.
She was diagnosed around the same time I was. I vaguely remember the TV guide article in which (I believe) she said she wanted people to know that it was okay, that you can have a mild case of MS.
She did have an aneurysm a few years ago, and I'm sure that took out a few brain cells the MS did not. Or she might have just died of the MS. Not enough functioning brain to sustain life.
Ooof. Sorry about that. Glad your treatment has been plausibly successful, and long may it wave, without any brain aneurysms.

KC - I think she might have delayed treatments, thinking she had a bad back

oh, that's sad. I always loved her acting, and when she would appear on the David Letterman show. I did see her several years ago speaking at an MS informational event and she was clearly having a lot of challenges, but her personality was so charming and delightful. I think I was too shy to actually speak to her, but I was happy to have been in the same room as she was for a iittle while. I'll defintely watch Young Frankenstein in the next little bit here in remembrance.

Kristie - I remember reading afterward an account from her that she was on Letterman, and during a commercial break he passed her a note that said "I hate myself." I don't know why I remember that, and perhaps I'm wrong, but it does seem believable in that she would be sympathetic.
