KC

My mom goes in to have a few skin cancers taken off every 3-6 months (living in high-UV areas, mostly outdoors, without any sunscreen or sun-protective clothing, until she was nearly 40; her close relatives are also on the regular-dermatology-visit train). I know that particular c-word is scary, but if you catch it early, basal and squamous really are just... a thing you deal with and then it's gone and you just keep a vague eye out for new spots and revisit the dermatologist each time something pops up.

KC - He has a family history too. And I know both of us are actively waiting, not patiently waiting, so we're coping with worst possible cases. I check him for skin cancer all the time. I really don't think this is that, but what do I know?
