Hmm. Too afraid to do the eyes. And she's missing a dimple. And the plaid on the shirt will be sooo tedious. That might be a plain blue shirt instead.

Makes sense to be afraid to do the eyes, but also: you can take multiple shots at the Queen Mother, and return to trying to paint this photo after 2 or 3 other pictures of her, at which point you will probably have adjusted somewhat. So even if this one comes out terrifyingly wrong, you can give this specific great photo another chance. :-)

(I 100% support Solid Color Shirt, unless the plaid was a vital part, in which case, maybe wait until you get to the end of this round and decide whether you're doing it again before committing to to the tedium this time?)

KC - It was remarkabke how the second painting of Gary was easier than the first. That might be an aporoach.
