This year I learned ...
that anthrax can be white or brown, pre-made pie crust heats up in an air fryer, unfilled teeth are referred to as “virgin”, illnesses know what year it is, dishwashers have filters, Barbara Jordan had MS, Richard Pryor did not die from MS, lightning goes both directions, RSV shots are not easy, I am indiscreet at work, doctors can cold-call you, and there’s a purpose behind the scalloped edge of toilet paper.
On days that were not Sunday, I also learned:
- In addition to plain ecoli-based bladder infections, there are also spectacular proteous mirabilis-based bladder infections.
- My body donation plans became null and void 25 years ago.
- I am definitely allergic to penicillin.
And really, more than anything else this year, I learned it is very difficult to be a 20-year-old man.
