Well, it begins again.
Gary is a big fan of the Cone of Food. Be it dogs, raccoons, or now cats, all food must be presented in a peak, a Mount Fuji of food, so the animals can munch off the tip of the cone in one bite.
I complained the cone scatters too much, and I wasn’t going to scoop up dry, previously coned food every morning.
So that’s where we are right now.
... does Gary shape all his food into a cone before eating it?

KC - no. In fact he doesn't even heat it up. Cold mac and cheese, cold crab rangoon, all of it.

Does he *want* his food in a cone but is too lazy to do so? I feel experiments should be executed... especially on foods that might be "interesting" to eat while shaped into a high, tippy cone... except that would result in even more food on the floor than the Cat Cone Of Food.
(also: eew to those things cold. But maybe he has a high enough ambient body temperature that the fats don't stay solid and congeal-y for as long?)

KC - I asked him directly, and he laughed heartily and said he does prefer his food in a cone, and, “Doesn’t everybody?” Also, I second your ew on the cold food.

... is he pulling your leg on the food cone question, or would he really prefer coned meatloaf? Salad? Cheerios? Pie?

KC - Well, if he eats it directly with his mouth, like ice cream or a sandwich, yes, but I think thats just human nature.

Agree on that, but also in that case one prefers not a cone but a stick/tower, wherein it never gets larger than it's comfortable to bite. (aka: not a cone...)
(those ultra-fancy super-tall burgers that require you to unhinge your jaw like a snake and then fall apart three bites in? Just NO.)

KC - complete pass on python burgers.
