I don't like seeing unexpected FedEx envelopes on my doorstep. (FedUnEx?)
I half-expected a document for Gary about his new car, but it was a document from the Kidney Foundation about the old car. Our donation couldn't go through, because the title didn't show proof that the car had been paid off, and if I could return those original documents in the enclosed FedEx envelope they would appreciate it.
It took me longer to walk from the kitchen to the file cabinet than it did to reach into the back of the CARS folder and get the exact documents from ten years ago. It was particularly pleasant because on that walk I wasn't really sure I had those documents, and then when I pulled them out I saw they were exactly what the Kidney people wanted.
Even better, it was one day after Gary accused me of throwing away some important documents. Hah!
One of my most satisfying experiences in months.
