So there have been a number of instances of serendipity. We were in the hospital wondering how to get Dave home by the time the medical supplies wee coming when two of his friends walked in. He was lying on the bathroom floor insisting that he did not want the fire department to come by (he had A Plan for getting up off the floor if I would just stick out my arm) when a big strong male friend just showed up to say hi.
But one bit of serendipity was just for me and not for Dave. Recently I had two trash bags full of prescription meds to get rid of, including two fentanyl patches. (The hospice people did this for Mom, but that was back when you could flush narcotics down the toilet.) I had searched as far as "put on gloves and peel to expose the adhesive patch," when I did one more search and saw a DEA program where you can dump drugs at your police station on special days twice a year.
One of the two days was that very day, October 29, 2022. That very day. Amazing.
