So, there I was, at the Walgreens, ready for my fourth vaccine. I walked in, there were about ten people in the whole store and they were all at the register. Fine, because I was headed back to the pharmacy.
The entirely closed, shuttered pharmacy.
The sign showing that pharmacy was "open'' was right next to the metal grate locked down over the counter.
I found an employee who said their pharmacist was "out," so they had a temp who left already, and they were going to reschedule all the appointments.
WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT, I thought, and I said "Well, okay then, see you later."
But I will not see you later, Walgreens. I will not. I felt pretty comfortable out and about so now I'm trying the grocery store tonight at 7:00 pm. And they better not have any of these shenanigans.
So their pharmacist got sick (or something) and instead of calling people to reschedule appointments they just... didn't?
Oy.

KC - ugh, they haven't contacted me to reschedule, so I made a new apply elsewhere, and Walgreens got the money from my insurance already so they won't pay for another.

Walgreens got the money even though they were not available to do the vaccination?!!! That is Not Okay.

Kc - CVS is the best - they got it worked out. Right now I’m cooking my heels 15 minutes and I actually gave a little headache. Like it took.

YES! I am so glad CVS got it sorted out. And I hope your immune system does indeed take the hint and develop defensive capabilities!

KC - well, the little headache was the only problem I had. No flu-like symptoms at all. And the news today is that no one is getting even a second booster, so this isn't going to go away.
