It's definitely an interesting hobby, but 1. it's something that classes are *very* useful for, to get you over the first humps, at least for pottery-wheel stuff, and 2. a firing kiln is extremely expensive, and 3. you've got a presumably-reduced vaccination level, so in-person things are probably a Bad Idea (unless you can finagle one-on-one classes with someone who is fully vaccinated and is not on immunosuppressants).

Maybe you can paint some canvases of other peoples' handmade pottery to scratch the itch for now?
