It annoys Gary, but I like to do two things at once - especially if one of the things I am doing is watching television. I like to clean up after dinner and watch television, or do the laundry and watch television.
(In case you think I’m overly burdened with domestic work, and that makes Gary feel like a slacker in that he is not doing housework and laundry ... to be honest I am usually reading Facebook or doing a NYT crossword from 1998 while I’m watching television. You can add a third task, ignoring the dust and potato chip debris in the room with the television.)
This super-productivity goes dormant on the weekends. This past work week I tabled a dozen things that I needed to do, so I could do them on the weekend - and the weekend came and I did none of those things.
Instead, I just spent FIVE HOURS laser-focused on seeing how I could join a Zoom call with an Alvin the chipmunk voice. I even missed breakfast because I was so intent of doing just that one thing.
Ha! to the Zoom thingy. Mental stimulation + household chores. Or mental stimulation + TV. Sounds good to me.

Arlene - still, somehow I feel as if I have broken a promise to myself, or deceived myself, or something. I need to let that go.
