As always, enjoying the painting updates. :-) (and I'd note that whatever angles are wrong aren't sticking out to me, so there's at least that?)

KC - it’s the step below the arch, and according to the comparison I just did in photoshop the nearest crypt is actually very off-kilter in real life. I am keeping it straight here.

It... looks fine to me? But the crypt being off-kilter in real life makes sense, too - ground shifts, installation quality varies, etc.

KC - sure - if the ground in New Orleans is too soggy to bury people then I’d say it’s too soggy to build a crypt on.
