That is getting surprisingly good! That last iteration brings it from "extremely glum but relaxed" towards the proper grimace of the photo, and I do not know how you did that, but I'm impressed!

I think the light stripe below the eyes is a little too high (or maybe wide?), since it sort of looks like there isn't enough room for his eyes there, but I have no idea if that's actually the way it is or whether it's one of those perception things. At any rate, I'm boggled that you've accomplished this portrait, and hope you achieve personal satisfaction out of it (although I also get the "I can see ALL THE FLAWS and therefore I do not see any of the ways it looks right" creator's problem).
