One week ago I took a vacation day on a Thursday. Why Thursday? Because that's the day Gary is out of the house, and I can do all the surreptitious sneaky stuff I can't do while Gary's around.
I rushed around and I ...
Painted the Foundation. This was tiresome. Due to time constraints I had to do this one while he was still here. That meant I had to tape off the basement windows, because he couldn't have slept through window removal, and then he'd be up and giving his expert opinion.
Caramelized Onions. I can't cook onions when he's here because if I do he spends all night moaning about his eyes and the pain, and you burned something, Ellen, do you think I can't smell the burnt onions? Somehow, he routinely cooks onions with no ill effects.
Painted the Back Door. To paint the back door one must open the back door, which is not allowed, because FLIES FLIES YOU ARE LETTING IN THE FLIES.
Killed the Flies. About six flies did accumulate in the house. I killed three, Gary killed one, and I don't know where the others are. I hope they plague him.
