Okay, I like organization. I like upcycling. I thought I'd like this artice I saw on Facebook: 30 New Ways to Use Your Old Stuff.
This article was an atrocity. There were two suggestions right off that claimed to improve junk drawer organization using teacup saucers or clean tuna fish cans.
Well yes, but if you have so much space you can take up an entire drawer to display your paperclips and buttons, and then leave 1/3 of it empty so it doesn't look "cluttered," then just throw that crap out or give it to the servants. I mean, perhaps actual clutter has to be organized, but a half cup of buttons do not need to be organized.
As for the Tin Herb garden, plants grow. That basil and thyme is going to take over your kitchen.
And the final abomination: shoes hanging decoratively on the wall. Clearly they've never been worn. Do you have colorful unworn shoes? Okay. Give them to the poor. Don’t hang them on your wall. That's just nasty.
