Last Saturday morning Gary read me the story of Everett Palmer Jr., the man who died in police custody and his body was missing the heart, lungs and throat. Before the end of the day that mystery was solved (evidently that's standard procedure for the police autopsy: just take out your pertinent parts and send you back home).
However, I have not yet heard the end of this story: months after he went missing, former mouseketeer Dennis Day's body was found in his own home. So many unanswered questions in that story. Who is looking after the partner now? Who loans a car to strangers? How did the police not find the body in the initial search of the home? And with all horrifying stories, how do I keep this from happening to me?
On the plus side, after one is dead one probably doesn't care what happens the formerly-occupied body - either organ removal or not-found-for-a-while? But yes, still disconcerting...

KC - well, one doesn’t care because one is dead, but ones family would care a lot.
