I worked almost twenty years for my previous company, code-named Elliott. The very impressive founder of that company wrote a book a few years ago, and instead of writing a biography of her life, she wrote a biography of her company. She even dedicated it to the employees.
I immediately went to the index to find myself, and there I was. I am quoted as saying something so banal that I don't even remember saying it. 9In the early 90s, she announced some cutbacks (mainly to her salary, if I recall), and I evidently said something about how I had been struck that our company had escaped the recession up to then.) I think she wanted to include me and she didn't want to mention my bra-flashing, or countless screw-ups, or the long email I sent the entire company about my grandmother's turtle (referenced here) that she said she re-read on occasion.
At any rate, I felt quite smug and had a lovely time reading about the years I spent there.
