Previous guitar introductions:
Ding was my first. I heartlessly traded him in for the Fender named Blondie.
Uncle Alvarez was my first acoustic. He was beloved, then cast aside after I got the Blue Washburn guitar.
Blondie is a very heavy Fender. Blondie is used primarily for ironic electric covers of "Your Cheatin' Heart" and the like.
The Bass With No Name arrived and was played for about a week, and then joined the other unused guitars in what has essentially become the Guitar Larder, the place I go when I needed a backup guitar when my main guitar does not suit.
And the main guitar always suits.
At least, it suited until I started trying to play the finger-picking accompaniment with my thumb, and now I just can't stretch my fingers on to the frets I need to.
So, meet Baby, a 3/4 size yellow orange guitar.
Baby says:
Hello? Can you hear me? I'm Baby. I'm a distant relative of the blue Washburn guitar looming behind me. It's a real Washburn, whereas I'm of the "Oscar Schmidt for Washburn" branch of the family. Obviously my cousin is much bigger, and has an electric output, and has a wider neck, which seems to be why I've been called up from the farm team. I've always had a skinny neck and a short body and it seems some people prefer that sometimes. This lady I'm with now keeps stroking my neck and cackling.
Of course, to make way for me, some lesser-used guitars had to be put to better purpose. The bass guitar and some guitar named Uncle Alvarez have taken my place at the used guitar store. I hope I'll be helpful here. I wouldn't want to be sent back.
