I'm worried about Keith Olbermann. Have you been watching the the tease during the 40 minute commercial break for Countdown?
He breaks in to the regular commercials at about 40 minutes. This serves to mess up anyone who needs to TiVo triple-speed through commercials and slam on the play button at the first subliminal hint of the real program.
But Keith O. is just there momentarily to tease us with what's coming up. He finishes by barking "That's next; this is Countdown." It's the body language that goes with it that gets me. He says "Thats next" into the camera, but turns away from the camera by the time he's done saying "...this is Countdown."
Every time I see it I think, "Dude, what's so interesting over there? Why are you looking to your right? Is there another desk there? Does it have CNN.com on a laptop? Look at me when I'm talking to you!"
Up till recently it's just been a little partial back-to-business turn, as if to say "I don't have time for this promo crap, this is live tv. It's busy here in the Newsroom."
But now he's doing a full body turn. The other day I saw the back of his head, I swear. I am concerned.
Give the guy a break - he has a new set and new graphics and a view. He's just getting his sea legs. :-)

I can't watch Keith O. It's not that I don't agree with his viewpoint (because I do), but I can't stand his delivery. It's like nails on a chalkboard to me. So is Colbert. Can't watch him for more than 2 minutes before I want to run screaming from the room. Too smarmy. I do, however, love Robin Meade on CNN and Jon Stewart on the Daily Show.

KC - you know he's like Jon Stewart to me - they're both just a shade too much "on." Colbert, of course, is meant to be smarmy.
