Forty-Five is shaping up to be a good year.
Usually I feel awkward during birthday greetings and birthday attention. This year though (and you all can take credit for this) it was nice to hear "Happy Birthday;" it made me feel special. I think all the birthday comments toughened me up. Thanks! Today when people said "Happy birthday," I thought, "Well, yeah! My birthday should be acknowledged, and on the actual date of my birth. These Blog people have the right idea. "
I got home and had three messages in a row of relatives singing the Happy Birthday song.
I had cake, only it was sweet corn cake at Casa.
I got a card from Friend #3.
All my presents came early.
I was to have gone out to dinner, but given that we ate out every other day this week, we decided to treat ourselves to frozen pizza at home.
And right now Gary is watching the Rams game and I am by his side blogging on the new laptop. In the room, because "Stay In the Room With Me!" is Gary's love language.
Aww, I'm so glad to hear you had an enjoyable birthday! You totally deserve to have the whole world joining together in celebration of your existence. I'm certainly happy you're around, that's for sure. (And I'm also certain that I'm more and more tempted to read that Five Love Languages book that has been sitting on a bookshelf in our family room since the beginning of time.) Anywho, I hope the rest of your birthday weekend is just as spectacular, if not moreso. :)

Rachelskirts - thanks! Actaully I've wasted a good deal of the last day of my birthday week by sleeping. I did just send Gary out to buy my own love language, Ben and Jerry's Coffee Toffee ice cream.

sue - Belated Thanks!
Meriwether Lewis - "Jesus?" How old are you?
Posted by: TheQueen | August 13, 2007 at 08:50 PM
Old enough to remember home deliveries of mild and tins of Charles Chips.

Beg pardon, that would be "milk" not "mild".

Merri - Wow. What are you, like 100? 200?
