I am immobile. Cough.
My voice is gone, doubtless due to screaming the words to "I Will Survive" during the Divorcee Soiree.
I really don't know how I should act when sick. Should I continue on coughing my way through my plans, or should I lie in bed immobile? Mom has always taught me by her actions that one "soldiers on" when one is sick. Then again, Dad always espoused the "lie in bed and sweat it out" option.
I'm torn. All I know is I'm going to take off three days of work, and for some of those days I'll lie in bed coughing, and for some of those days I'll soldier on coughing.
Fabulous Divorcee Soiree photos tomorrow, if Robin brings my camera to work and I pick it up on the way to the doctor's.
If you are contagious...STAY HOME! No one else wants to share in your misery of illness. If you feel well enough to tough it out, go for it. But, you'll probably recover faster with some rest. However, rest does not have to mean immobile in bed. Could also be just light puttering around your house in your pj's.
Helpful?
PS-great party!

Interesting you should bring that up, R-H.C. I specifically asked the doctor when I was diagnosed today with adult CROUP (ahahahahaha) how I should behave when sick, and he said, "If you feel like doing something, do it. If you feel like going out, go out. Then if you get tired come back home." See, it's the "Come back home" part I'm not so good at.
