What is an escape room?

Hattie - it's a life-size puzzle / scavenger hunt. They put you in a room and your goal is to get out. Our room looked like a rich man's library. We had to solve a puzzle to get out of the handcuffs to even get started, then we kept turning things over and hunting for clues and unlocking safes that lead to more clues that require more puzzles to be solved. For example, we found a page of mixed-up literature titles. One was "The Noise and the Anger." So that was "The Sound and the Fury," so then we found that book in the library, and there was a safe combination written on the outside. Opening that safe led to another puzzle. It was fun.
There's one in Hilo - https://www.escapehilo.com/
