The high on Saturday was predicted to be 75 degrees. NOT A TYPO. Julie tweeted she was headed out to the farmer's market, and I thought, farm fresh eggs to make pasta with my fancy new pasta flour! Of course I researched farmer's markets in my area. One was in a mall parking lot, and one was at a winery in the midst of farm country.
I left Gary asleep in bed and took off over the hills for the winery farmer's market. I drove twenty minutes into unexplored territory to get deep into farm territory.
Farmers must have been at all the other farmer's markets. The winery has their farmer's market on Sunday. I didn't even check first. So, I took a photo and went back home perfectly happy to have taken a road I'd never travelled.
I was so high from riving a new road to a new place in decent weather that I bought donuts. I never buy donuts. (Note: if you feed the dog donuts he barks at the donuts till well into the night. Further note: the dog's kidney numbers are back into the normal range now that he no longer gets straight BBQ. Hence the donut celebration.)
I was so giddy I called Gary and demanded he wake up: we were going to the zoo. The zoo turned out to be all new too. It was a full day of new experiences, so it has to be multiple posts. Zoo later.

I'm always amazed how much beautiful countryside sits just outside of our suburbia.
I noticed the farmer's market in the parking lot of the outdoor mall in LSL yesterday. Never knew about that! But we didn't have time to stop on our way to soccer. Perhaps cheering for kids' soccer is something to add to your new experiences?
